Edward

Country:
Philippines
Director:
Thop Nazareno
Running Time: 1h 23min
This is the second feature from Director Thop Nazareno who came out strong in 2017 with his first film Kiko Boksingero featuring 12-year-old Noel Comia, Jr. In Edward, we are given another brilliant child performance, this time by 16-year-old Louise Abuel who plays a happy-go-lucky teenage boy who spends his days in a busy Manila hospital taking care of his ailing father, as unlikely setting as it could get really for the shenanigans Edward manages to get up to. The performance given by Abuel is brilliant, he is funny and warm and an absolute joy for the entire hour and a half.
