Spoilt brat Ken Chow attempts various ways to escape his National Service when his plans to study abroad with his girlfriend get disrupted. There, he meets different people from all walks of life – Wayang King – who is the star recruit, Lobang – who is quick-witted and street smart, I P Man – whose unique feature is his over-sized mouth, and many others. Ken’s plans to get out of training backfires and he ends up in the hospital. His father, in an attempt to rush to see him, suffers from a heart attack which results in him being involved in a car accident.
